Omsk is a city in Russia. It is located in southern part of the country, at the meeting point of the Irtysh River with the Om River in Siberia. The main landmark of the city is the opulent Dormition Cathedral. The wooden houses on the Nikolsky Prospekt/Krasnykh Zor Street, is also very popular. Despite these, the architectural centrepieces of the city are the Lenin Street buildings, flanked by two chapels.
